Take these steps to avoid oral cancer

In 10 seconds? An international committee of experts has reviewed the evidence on the best ways to prevent oral cancer (cancers of the lips and mouth). And good news! Multiple concrete actions, namely limiting tobacco and alcohol consumption, can be taken to significantly reduce risk.

Oral cancer is a prominent type of cancer worldwide, ranking 16th in overall cancer mortality. Research has identified multiple risk factors for oral cancers. Of interest, many of these risk factors can be intentionally modified, something that isn’t always the case with cancer.
