Is it common for men to get breast cancer? No, not really. Only about 1% of all diagnosed breast cancers are among men. While about 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer, men only have a 1 in 1000 chance. Still, about 2500 men in the US are diagnosed with breast cancer each year and 500 men will succumb to the disease.
